Being an investor in the consumer space truly blurs the line between work and personal life in the best possible way. We are all consumers on a daily basis and are constantly discovering and assessing brands and products. It is so special to be able to work with founders to build brands that surround our everyday lives.
Prior to Stride, I was a Vice President at Volition Capital, where I helped to build the Internet & Consumer team. During my time at Volition I focused on consumer products, both traditional retail and digitally native brands, as well as marketplaces and services including digital health and fitness. I had the opportunity to meet many founders disrupting their respective verticals and adapting to the ever-changing demands of the consumer.
My career investing in consumer companies began at Putnam Investments, where I worked in equity research covering public companies across the consumer landscape including CPG, retailers, and restaurants. I then worked at Yellow Wood Partners, a consumer-focused private equity firm, investing in several consumer brands and working closely with portfolio companies.
I received an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, and Economics from Georgetown University. I live in Boston with my husband, a fellow Hoya, who is coincidentally also a consumer investor.
