The ‘hair longevity’ trend is set to drive sales and innovation this year

Recently, Nicole Fourgoux, Operating Partner at Stride Consumer Partners sat down with Lexy Lebsack from Glossy to discuss the evolution that is happening within the haircare market.


“Hair care is in the state where skin care was about six or seven years ago …The same ingredients that popped up … in skin care are now starting to make their way into hair care [such as] niacinamide, peptides or even ceramides …”

This shift, dubbed “the skinification of hair care,” will evolve the category to address critical need states and usage occasions that will show up in multi-tasking hair care products.
