I’ve been making ice cream professionally for more than 20 years – over half my life.
Before that, I studied art, worked in a bakery, and had a serious hobby blending perfumes and collecting essential oils. I started Jeni’s with a simple idea: that ice cream could be better and more interesting, and today we’re devoted to making the finest ice creams the world has ever known.
Over the last 15 years, we’ve learned that milk proteins are almost magical if you know how to unlock their power. Instead of gums, stabilizers, and emulsifiers, we work with super-fresh milk from family dairy farms to create the most wonderful body and texture the ice cream world has ever known. Our ice creams tell stories – of the hundreds of growers, makers, and producers with whom we work. Of place, history, and tradition. Of art and pop culture. Led by our curiosity, we make ice creams that people want to share and talk about. And we do it in a way that brings people together and celebrates community.
I believe that the flavor of our ice creams is so much more than what you experience on your tongue. Flavor is the why and how behind every single thing we do.
