Fast Growing Greek Yogurt Bar Brand Clio Acquired by Stride Consumer Partners in Majority Investment, Marking Its Next Chapter of Growth

PISCATAWAY, N.J., Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Clio Snacks (“Clio”), the first and only refrigerated Greek yogurt bar, has been acquired by Stride Consumer Partners LLC (“Stride”), a growth-equity investment firm focused on consumer passion brands. The partnership marks an exciting next chapter for Clio as the innovative snack continues to reinvent how people enjoy Greek yogurt, driving rapid growth as more people discover the brand.

Clio Snacks began by accident in 2015 when founder Sergey Konchakovskiy discovered a batch of over-strained yogurt in his fridge. The thickened texture reminded him of a beloved treat from his Eastern European childhood. He began experimenting with forming the yogurt into bars, dipping them in chocolate, and creating a creamy, cheesecake-textured indulgent snack. The result wasn’t just a new product; it was an entirely new way to enjoy Greek yogurt. You’ve never had Greek yogurt like this before.

That early experiment became the foundation for Clio and a broader vision. Snackers typically choose between indulgence and a more wholesome satiating option. Clio set out to reinvent Greek yogurt into a handheld refrigerated snack that could deliver both. In doing so, Clio introduced a format and experience that was unlike anything else in the yogurt aisle and cemented what sets Clio apart today.

Under CEO John McGuckin, who joined Clio in 2021, the company has more than quadrupled revenue. Clio has rapidly scaled its retail footprint, manufacturing capabilities and portfolio. This year, Clio is on track to produce more than 150 million bars at its 86,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Piscataway, N.J., supporting continued growth for the brand and its retail partners.

“When I joined Clio, we already had an incredible product and a passionate consumer base. We saw a tremendous opportunity to build the infrastructure and scale the business,” said John McGuckin, CEO of Clio Snacks. “Partnering with Stride gives us the resources and support to build on that momentum.”

Today, Clio is sold in roughly 60,000 stores nationwide and is continuing to expand its portfolio from single serve Original Greek Yogurt bars to new flavors and varieties in a snackable Mini multi-pack format. Clio is ranked #9 on Instacart’s list of top Greek Yogurt brands, driven by its deliciously convenient novel format that eats like an indulgent treat.

“We have been trying to partner with Clio for years, admiring the brand’s vision and how the team has truly built a differentiated brand in the rapidly growing better-for-you ‘permissive indulgence’ snacking space,” said Juan Marcos Hill, Partner at Stride. Emma Greenwood, Vice President at Stride, added, “We jumped at the opportunity to partner with the Clio team and support the company as it scales.”

The partnership with Stride will drive continued investment across key areas of Clio’s business, including brand building, expanded distribution, operational capabilities, and innovation. Together, Clio and Stride will build on the momentum the team has set in motion to become a leading snack brand in the yogurt category by delivering its uniquely craveable approach to Greek yogurt to even more snackers.
